GreenGPT is built and operated from the EU. We collect as little data as possible and never sell or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics with Google Consent Mode v2 to understand how visitors interact with our site — for example, which pages are visited and how often. This helps us improve the product.
Analytics cookies are loaded only after you give explicit consent via the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent to Google Analytics. You can change your preference at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.
We do not use any marketing, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies.
Cookies we use
_ga, _ga_* — Google Analytics cookies, used to distinguish visitors and sessions. Set only
after consent.
greengpt-cookie-consent — Stored in localStorage (not a cookie). Remembers your consent choice so we don't
ask again.
Data we process
When you use GreenGPT, we process the following data:
- Chat messages — routed through the OpenRouter API to EU-based inference providers only. Neither OpenRouter nor the inference provider stores your messages — they are used solely to generate a response and discarded immediately after.
- Account information — if you create an account, we store your email address and a hashed password. We never store passwords in plain text.
- Usage data — aggregated, non-identifying usage metrics (e.g. message counts) to enforce rate limits and improve the service.
We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for their own purposes. Data is processed on servers located in the EU.
Your rights under GDPR
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Rectify inaccurate personal data
- Erase your personal data
- Withdraw consent for analytics at any time
- Port your data to another service
- Object to processing of your data
